Mutation analysis by sequencing

Molecular diagnostics categorises cancer using technologies such as mass spectrometry and sequencing, hereby determining how genes and proteins interact in a cell. The aim is to disclose modified expression patterns - gene and protein activity patterns - in different types of cancerous or praecancerous cells. These sets of changes, also calles "molecular signatures", are improving the clinician´s ability to diagnose cancer, and provide and individualised therapy to the patient.
